Homeowners paying cash or financing with a loan in 2026 receive no federal credit; leased/PPA systems still capture roughly 30% via the section 48E credit (through 2032), passed through by the lessor.
What warranty covers Solar Roof?
Tesla backs the solar tiles and power production with a 25-year tile and power warranty. Our installation workmanship is covered under the project contract and closeout documentation.
How does Solar Roof handle Colorado hail and snow?
The tiles are tempered glass and rated for the impact and wind loads required by code. We install to Tesla specifications and local building department requirements, and we inspect decking and structural readiness before the tiles go on.
What does the design-build process look like?
