The federal residential clean energy credit expired for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025. Homeowners paying cash or financing with a loan in 2026 receive no federal credit; leased/PPA systems still capture roughly 30% via the section 48E credit (through 2032), passed through by the lessor.
What warranty covers Solar Roof?
Tesla backs the solar tiles and power production with a 25-year tile and power warranty. Our installation workmanship is covered under the project contract and closeout documentation.
