Project type
How a new build or modular home project works at Autotelic
A new build starts with the design side: architectural design, land planning, site analysis, structural engineering, MEP engineering, 3D rendering, and a full construction documents and permit services package to get the project approved. A custom modular home follows the same design sequence, then substitutes factory manufacturing and a crane set for stick-built framing on site. The technology layer for a new build is usually designed in from the start rather than added later: structured cabling, Savant whole-home automation, control programming, lighting control, a solar panel array, and Tesla Powerwall battery storage.
Doors today: The instant estimate (modular key) or a scoped consult.
The flight plan
1. Feasibility
liveThe instant estimate wizard prices the modular key directly; a fully custom new build starts with a scoped consult instead.
2. Estimate
liveThe same wizard, or the consult that follows it, prices the design, engineering, and construction scope against the real catalog.
3. Design
liveConcept Studio runs a swipe tournament covering finishes and the technology layer for a new build.
4. Project management
liveOnce under contract, the build moves into the client portal — proposal, milestones, files, and messages.
5. Field
crew-onlyThe crew cockpit app manages the build on site, shown here but never linked as something to install.

Questions
Is a modular home lower quality than a stick-built new build?
No — it is the same design and engineering process, with manufacturing happening in a factory under quality control instead of entirely on site.
Can I get a self-serve feasibility study for a fully custom new build?
Not yet — that path is a scoped consult today, which is a real, live path, not a placeholder.
Is the technology layer optional on a new build?
It's optional in scope, but it's meant to be designed in with the architecture from the start rather than added as a retrofit later.
Does every project type go through the front desk?
Every project's first contact still goes through the front desk — Eve or Chloe — before any of these steps; this flight plan highlights the stars that follow it for a new build specifically.
